I love audience surveys. But this time, I’m responding differently to feedback.
I’ll back up a little bit: I recently (quietly) launched a new newsletter! Weekly magazine-style editions share cool ideas and places in Raleigh + Cary.
After about 6 weeks, I asked readers to answer a two-question survey: Rank different parts of the newsletter’s format and answer what is missing from this newsletter or the news/magazine scene generally.
In the past, I would have *overcorrected* in some areas that I know are not the mission of this newsletter.
This time, I’m OK with finding and owning a niche, rather than being too general.
I still consider it a work in progress — but I’m happy with how it’s being received in its first couple months!
